The goal of these pieces was to utilize the talent to help tell the incredible true story of the battle of Midway, while showcasing the epic cinematic scope of the movie.
TBS had a loose concept and the opportunity to shoot with the stars of Good Boys and turned to Steve to help figure out what to do from there! He developed the concept, wrote scripts and directed the young talent. The concept was elevated further when he got permission from the studio to utilize unused footage from a teaser shoot to bring it all together. As a bonus, he now has a Seth Rogen head looming over his desk.
Steve worked with TBS on every aspect of this content piece. Starting with the most unusual “writing” of his career… he crafted the game by writing dozens of phrases using emojis. Once shot, he had the challenge of turning a series of random moments into a cohesive piece, that also included movie clips.
The result was a huge success, with client and studio giving the spot high-praise and set the standard for a new genre of studio content pieces at TBS.

The concept behind this tease was incredibly simple… grab viewer’s attention by having the talent do nothing. This really gave the stunt tree a moment in the spotlight, and boy did it deliver.
